I’m not exaggerating when I say that Gilmore Girls got me and my oldest through the Pandemic.
I’ve been a huge fan since my college days, and I figured since the whole world was shut down, there was never a better time to invite my daughter into the Gilmore Girls’ fan club.
Our weekly Saturday night Gilmore Girls episode gave us something to look forward to every week. And I fell in love with the show all over again.
It took us a little over two years to make it through all seven seasons. Yes, we pushed through Season 5 (why Rory, WHY?!) and made it to the end. Team Jess forever, by the way.
Lorelai is quite honestly my role model. We have a lot in common – a love of coffee, parent issues, the entrepreneurial spirit. I only wish I had her spunk, quick and witty comebacks, energy and confidence.
Given all of this Gilmore Girls gushing, you probably aren’t shocked that I have a thing for Gilmore Girls’ swag. But I’m also pretty choosy about what I bring into my home.
So what would I, a minimalist Gilmore Girls’ fan, see on a gift guide and immediately fall in love with and probably welcome into my home? This gift guide is that list.

I scoured Etsy and most of the internet searching for Gilmore Girls swag that I, as a minimalist who appreciates a certain aesthetic, would happily welcome into her home.
I actually have plans to redecorate our TV room next year and incorporate tons of Gilmore Girls art, so I’ve already been on the hunt.
The internet did not disappoint, but it did take a LOT of digging.
I had to sift through about a million Gilmore Girls quotes in random fonts on Etsy – oof. You’re welcome.
I give you what are, in my opinion, the best of the best. What I would choose, what I’ve already chosen, and ultimately, what I think Gilmore Girls fans will love having in their homes for years to come.

Coffee Mugs (Because Lorelai)
When you search for Gilmore Girls’ mugs, “Luke’s Diner” mugs are a dime a dozen. And they’re fine, but maybe not something I’d want to keep in my mug collection long-term.
If you insist on the Luke’s Diner mugs, THIS one is my personal favorite, and I love this Etsy seller! It’s available in several sizes, including 18 ounces.
But overall I prefer handmade mugs like the one pictured above. While that particular mug is one of a kind, the same shop owner put THIS “I Smell Snow” mug up in her shop recently. And when I ordered my mug, she sent an adorable mini ornament replica as a bonus!
There are also a ton of pottery mugs for sale on Etsy that offer personalization. THIS one and THIS one are gorgeous AND properly Lorelai-sized because “I need coffee in an IV.”
You could personalize the mug with any number of Gilmore Girls quotes, from the subtle “I smell snow,” to a more specific “Team Jess” or “Oy, with the poodles already!”.
Here are a few shortish quotes to consider…

Honorable Mention: THESE Luke’s Diner mugs are, I begrudgingly admit, better than many I saw on Etsy. Plus, they’re eighteen ounces and definitely more affordable if you’re on a tight budget!
Games & Puzzles
Thank you Warner Brothers for delivering a couple classic Gilmore Girls’ board games!
I would really enjoy playing Gilmore Girl’s Trivial Pursuit with fellow Gilmore Girls’ fans. I’m not as big a fan of Monopoly, but I could probably be talked into playing it more often if we had the Gilmore Girls version.

Tote Bags & Purses
We all have tote bags, and every time I think I can live with less of them, we try to take five kids and their stuff to the beach without them, and I am proven wrong.
I love this Gilmore Girls A to Z tote bag.
If you’re looking for a more classic plain design, THIS Stars Hollow bag from one of my favorite Etsy shops Greetings from Therapy is perfect. And THIS Stars Hollow Autumn Festival bag is also awesome.
If you want to give more of a backpack/purse, THIS Gilmore Girls mini backpack is absolutely adorable. You could pair it with THIS wallet with a detachable wristlet, which I might snag to replace my falling apart wallet.
You could give it alone, or tuck a shirt or other Gilmore Girls’ goodies inside. Or you could roll it up and give it with another item on this list.
Clothes
I’m back in “wear graphic tees that tell people what you love” phase. And nothing says Gilmore Girls’ fan like THIS shirt with all the best female characters.
If you’re looking for a more subtle shirt that only a true fan will know, I have THIS “film by Kirk” shirt. The only thing to know about this particular shirt is that the neckline is higher than most t-shirts and might bother someone with sensory issues.
I’ve had my eye on THIS sweatshirt (pictured below), but haven’t gotten it yet. There are several other color choices, including black, navy, green and maroon!

DVDs (obviously) or iTunes Gift Card
In 2025, when things are disappearing off the internet at an alarming rate and books are being banned left and right, I’m not surprised that people are returning to physical media.
Preparing for any and all apocalypses apparently, Gen Z is insisting on physical copies of books, DVDs and CDs. Honestly, can you blame them?
And shockingly…I can see their point. Especially now that we’re fairly settled in our home long-term, I’m starting to slowly bring back some DVDs in moderation and from thrift stores.
I don’t want a bajillion books or DVDs in my home, but I am starting to see the benefits of having your favorites. More and more often, I go to search for a favorite movie at the 2-3 streaming services we have and cannot find it.
One day, Netflix might kick Gilmore Girls to the curb, and if you’re a hardcore GG rewatcher, you’re gonna want the DVDs – or at the very least, your favorite seasons on iTunes.

Stickers
I am slowly filling up the back of my laptop with stickers. It might be annoying to get them off if I ever hand this computer down to a child, but hey, you gotta live a little.
I got THIS set (pictured above), and I love them! THIS sticker set looks great, too. And I’m sure Etsy has several more options.
My daughter happily sifted through the stickers, adopting several but decidedly rejecting ANY stickers with Dean…or Rory. Don’t get me started on her theories about Rory.
Candles
While I might be judging a lot of the Gilmore Girls’ wall art on Etsy, there are SO many fantastic-looking candles! Now, how they all smell? I don’t exactly know except for the descriptions.
I do personally have THIS one which says “Smells Like She’s Watching Gilmore Girls Again”, and it smells fantastic (I prefer vanilla, apple or orange and cinnamon/clove scents). This same candle also has an unscented candle option if the recipient is sensitive to fragrances.
THIS Stars Hollow candle looks awesome and has similar scents. THIS Stars Hollow candle has “red & yellow maple leaves + spiced apple pie + maple wood + pumpkins” scents – yummmm.
Give the candle of your choice with THIS beautiful jar of colorful longer “safety” matches. Beautiful + practical? Yes please!

Classic Movie Basket
Lorelai and Rory have seen ALL the classics, and they need all the candy to go with each movie night!
You could create a basket (choose one that can be reused in their home) with several different types of candy, either from the show or favorites of the gift recipient.
Tuck a digital gift card OR possibly even better, thrifted classic DVDs in the basket, too. Rosemary’s Baby anyone?

Where to start with all the wall art possibilities?!
First, I’ve had THIS Stars Hollow picture in our sunroom for a few years now, and I love it. I switch it out seasonally with THIS gorgeous winter Stars Hollow picture.
I love the Etsy shop Greetings From Therapy’s watercolor, abstract Stars Hollow wall art options. I have THIS Luke’s Diner sign one and THIS Lorelai’s living room one.
Finally, if you want to go with quotes, I would give a simple quote board (I have THIS one) and maybe put a Gilmore Girls’ quote on it before wrapping it up. It’s super affordable, too!
You could find a cute tin – like THIS handmade Gilmore Girls one for example – to hold the extra letters.
Books
There are a few different ways you could go with this gift idea.
You could go with specific Gilmore Girls’ show related books like Lauren Graham’s memoir Talking as Fast As I Can or Kelly Bishop’s new memoir The Third Gilmore Girl.
Or, you could give the Gilmore Girls’ Official Cookbook. Maybe pick a recipe and give the dry ingredients for it as well?
You could also go the Rory’s book list route. Give a classic book or two (second-hand or local bookshop would be great) or a Barnes and Nobles gift card, along with THIS printable list of classics that can be colored as they go.

Ornaments
First things first: if you are giving to someone who already has a huge ornament and Christmas decor collection, this is maybe not the way to go.
But, if you’re giving to a Gilmore Girls fan who is still building their unique Christmas ornament collection, I say go for it! A Gilmore Girls ornament will make them smile when they pull it out of the ornament box year after year.
