Inside: Need a cheap and easy dinner this week? Pick up ingredients from Costco and your local grocery store for these easy copycat Chick-fil-a chicken sandwiches.

One of my first jobs was at Chick-fil-a. I’m pretty sure I started working there around age 14.

MAN, it was easier to get a job at 14 back then. My 14-year-old is currently trying and failing to find a job, despite applying several places. Maybe it’s the crappy economy? Or maybe it’s a different time when 14-year-olds are less trusted in general?

But back to Chick-fil-a…

Despite their homophobic corporate policies, they make freaking good chicken! I’m convinced it’s one of the few fast food places where you can work and still love the food.

The prices though: OUCH. Feeding two kids and one adult easily adds up to $30 or more. So recently, I’ve been searching for easy ways to replicate Chick-fil-a food at home, both to save our wallets and to support their policies with our dollars less frequently.

And drumroll please: Costco came to the rescue again! I cannot tell you enough how much I love Costco.

And I recently stumbled upon this delicious and pretty darn close Chick-fil-a sandwich substitute that requires almost zero effort after you preheat the oven.

If you want to be really “extra” and even closer to the original, you can butter and toast the inside of the buns on the stovetop.

This “recipe” (that title is a stretch) puts dinner on the table with almost no effort. Anytime I can do that, I’m here for it.

Let’s get into the SUPER basic ingredients…

I like their “Chick-fil-a” sauce on these sandwiches, but you can use mayonnaise, honey barbecue or skip the sauce altogether.
